NTS Receives Department of Defense Contract

Calabasas, CA   (July 31, 2007) . . . . National Technical Systems, Inc. (NTS) (Nasdaq:NTSC),  a leading provider of quality, performance and conformance testing and managed services, announced today that it received a  major contract from the U.S. Army to test Insensitive Munitions (munitions that will not detonate under any conditions other than their intended mission to destroy a target).  William C. McGinnis, CEO, stated, “This is our first contract from this organization and along with all new orders booked in the first quarter of fiscal year 2008, contracts from the DoD market have been excellent.  The Camden test operation which is basically a defense test organization, increased its backlog from $1,903,000 on June 30, 2006 to $8,162,000 on June 30, 2007.”
