NTS Nuclear Services

Snubber Testing and Rebuild Services

NTS offers turnkey services to support plant maintenance and surveillance programs for all types and sizes of mechanical and hydraulic snubbers.

Our qualified engineers and technicians using proven equipment perform repair and functional testing either on-site or at the NTS Huntsville facility, the only off-site Radioactive Material Licensed facility for snubber services in the country. This full-service approach from one organization helps keep nuclear power plants on schedule during outages. NTS has a Quality Assurance Program approved by more than 40 utilities and is in accordance with applicable portions of 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, ANSI N45.2 and 10 CFR

On-Site Snubber Services

NTS' specially designed field service trailers and experienced personnel provide turn-key in-service programs on-site during plant outages. Each trailer is a self-contained laboratory equipped with a test machine; a fill and purge system; a bridge crane; rebuild tools; and office area.

Off-Site Snubber Services

NTS' Nuclear Center of Excellence in Huntsville, Alabama, performs snubber testing and repairs for those power plants which prefer the advantages of off-site services. The Huntsville facility is the only service provider having a Radioactive Material License which allows contaminated snubbers and other nuclear plant components to be repaired and tested.
