The technical personnel at NTS Tinton Falls have extensive experience in electromagnetic radiation and susceptibility testing, product safety, dynamics, and environmental testing. Our knowledge of current test and conformity requirements, both domestic and international, can assist clients with product assessment and program test requirements to assure maximum customer acceptance. Aerospace, Defense, Telecommunications, Medical and many other markets are served by our Tinton Falls location.

NTS Tinton Falls is a full-service environmental test facility capable of managing your
environmental test programs. Our technicians and engineers are recognized experts in the performance of a wide array of environmental simulations including thermal, shock, and vibration to name a few. Capabilities include more than 15 different chambers, Shakers, Catapult, Drop Towers, Impact (hail, stone, small caliber fragments and Bird Strike) test platforms.

EMI / EMC Testing

NTS Tinton Falls is part of the vast NTS EMI/EMC/ESD service offering, which includes twelve other laboratories across North America. NTS Tinton Falls provides testing services to a wide variety of industries with expertise in testing to Military (DoD), Aerospace, Industrial, Commercial and other industry specifications.

  • Radiated Susceptibility: Up to 200 V/m, frequency range 10 kHz–40 GHz, meets RS103 of MILSTD-461 and RTCA/ DO-160 requirements.
  • Multiple semi-anechoic shielded chambers

Primary EMI / EMC testing specifications include: MIL-STD-461/462, RTCA/DO-160, GR 1089-CORE, FCC parts 15, 18, 22 & 24, EN 300386, EN 55024, EN 55022, EN 55011, EN 61000-4-xx, EN 61000-3-x, EN 61000-6-x, EN 61326-1.

NEBS

NTS Tinton Falls provides certification of Telecommunications products to Network Equipment Building System requirements (NEBS) as well as international standards. NTS Tinton Falls also provides complete certi cation of information technology, industrial, and other commercial electronic products to global EMC, and Product Safety regulatory standards. NTS Tinton Falls has three EMI chambers, all of which are semi-anechoic and two being threemeter FCC listed chambers.

NTS Tinton Falls is approved by Verizon to certify telecommunications products to network equipment building systems requirements (NEBS). The lab is able to certify to international standards.

Certification Services

NTS also provides complete certification of information technology, industrial and other commercial electronic products to global EMC and product safety regulatory standards.

Environmental Testing

NTS Tinton Falls is a full-service environmental test facility capable of managing your environmental test programs, both for Commercial and Military. Our technicians and engineers are recognized experts in the performance of a wide array of environmental simulations including thermal, shock, and vibration to name a few. Capabilities include more than 15 different chambers, Shakers, Catapult, Drop Towers, Impact (hail, stone, small caliber fragments and Bird Strike) test platforms.

NTS has the expertise to accurately monitor equipment response and performance during the most severe test environments.

This facility offers a variety of climatic chambers, including:

  • Temperature/humidity chambers ranging in size from two cubic feet to 8’ x 8’ x 8’ walk-in chambers
  • Combined temperature, altitude and humidity chamber can reach up to is 70,000 feet
  • Acoustic noise
  • Wind and rainup to 100 mph
  • Salt fog
  • Solar load
  • Thermal shock
  • Fungus testing - to US and European standards, USDA Approved, on-staff mycologist.
  • Fluids susceptibility
  • Sand and dust testing

Dynamics Testing

Vibration capabilities include sine, random, sine on random, random on random, gunfire vibration and synthesized shock. Additional dynamic testing capabilities include hail and stone impact testing, acceleration testing, incline impact, and drop and shock towers.

  • Electrodynamic shaker systems: T-1000, T-514; up to 1.25" stroke, 9,000–16,000 force pounds, 5Hz–3,000Hz
  • Catapult and Drop Towers: Up to 125 msec, 100 G’s
  • Ballistics (hail/stone impact and bird strike)
