Sales and Marketing Manager

NQA, USA a third party registrar and premier provider of management support services to a broad range of industry sectors including Aerospace, Automotive and Telecommunications, is seeking a Sales Manager to generate sales in the Americas region for Accredited Certification services related to standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, etc. The position is focused on both strategic and tactical sales to support short and long term growth of the organization. The Sales Manager position involves leadership duties in the company’s management team and management of the sales staff.


Sales and Growth Strategy
• Implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
• Planning and organizing personal of group sales strategy to align with and ensure organizational growth goals are achieved
o Collaborate with Business Unit teams (Technical, Operations, Business) to establish plans for expansion of strategic business areas
• Maintain awareness of industry change risks and challenges for reapplication to strategic Solution Sales based engagements
o Actively maintaining a working knowledge of all specific markets assigned, reading trade publications relative to those markets, and keeping abreast of feedback from prospects which you have called.
o Maintaining awareness of the competition, industry, product, and pricing trends.
• Manage and maintain strategy to ensure organizational image projection is aligned with organizational goals, including
o Focus on Customer Service within Sales and Marketing processes
o Capture of Operational Delivery Perception impacts and interactions with Operation and Business areas on any needed improvement plans
o Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online and electronic media
o Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
Sales & Marketing Leadership and Management
• Marketing & Image Projection
o Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
o Maintain corporate image profile throughout all product lines, promotional materials and events
o Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
o Interact with division and corporate marketing activities to maintain desired alignment and participate in the development of company-wide marketing plans
o Develop plan for achievement of opportunity growth through a variety of market engagement tactics (Newsletters, Trade Shows, Digital Marketing, etc.)
o Ensure effective control of marketing results, and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
• Manage Sales activities to ensure yearly sales goals are achieved, including
o Implement marketing activities in coordination with Business Area activities to drive opportunity generation growth
o Maintain consultant relationship programs to promote a partnership within rules for accreditation
o Maximize opportunity generation through the organizations investment in Quality and Industry Groups
• Manage quote and proposal processes
o Manage incoming customer opportunities, proposal development and proposal teams and assists with the functions as required
o Manage the interaction with potential new and existing customers to collect necessary information for a quotation or proposal in alignment with accreditation needs
• Manage processes for opportunity capture
o Manage the sales team and other needed areas of the organization to deliver follow up with continued communication to win the sale
o Provide needed presentations to prospective clients and/or their delegates
o Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratios and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends
• Budget & Reporting
o Manage sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly
o Develops and manages sales /marketing operating budgets.
o Participate in annual budget meetings with input into western region budget and annual activities
o Manage Growth meetings and other Business Growth communications to ensure control of Business growth activities
o Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management
• Must be a eligible to work in the US without sponsorship (present or future) and able to pass a drug test and DMV and background check
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and ERP computer systems (database awareness)
• 10+ years of sales/account management experience, preferably in the ISO standards/audit/registration services industry OR we will consider someone who has worked in a customer service or program management capacity with customer interface experience who has worked in the ISO standards/audit/registration services industry OR we will consider 10+ years of account management experience selling services to the aerospace, defense, medical, automobile or telecommunications industries
• 5+ years in sales team leadership and management
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and related ISO registration/certification schemes
• Positive & confident attitude, with skills in multitasking and great interpersonal abilities associated with Sales leadership positions
• Ability to Lead and motivate of the sales and marketing team.
• Professional oral and presentation and outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with minimal direction
• Must possess strong negotiation skills and have the ability to manage contractual arrangements
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and writing
• Ability to facilitate and arrange high level meetings, build pipelines and execute business
• Must be detail oriented, demonstrate problem solving ability and possess strong organizational and implementation skills
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills with the ability to converse on an equal plane with prospects and customers at all levels
• Proficient at desktop computer, company information systems, ability to work with Microsoft Dynamics ERP system
• Manage travel and expenses within the approved budget
• Minimal travel
