Regional Sales Manager

NTS is seeking a Regional Sales Manager whose primary responsibility will be to generate new account business and grow and maintain existing accounts business within an assigned region. The Regional Sales Manager will be the primary business contact with new customers within their region and serve as the customer advocate, the “voice of the customer.” NTS is a provider of testing and engineering services to multiple industries to include Aerospace, Defense, Space, Telecom, Wireless, Medical, and Consumer Electronics. To be considered, although experience selling product testing services is highly desired, we will consider 5 years of outside B2B sales experience, to include new account/customer development, selling in a technical/engineering environment to one or more of the following industries: Aerospace, Defense, Space, Testing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Primarily will be responsible for generating new business
• Helping to support and grow existing business for NTS where appropriate
• Presenting and selling company products and services to potential customers
• Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
• Following up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
• Identifying sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
• Preparing presentations, specific to potential customer needs
• Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge
• Preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
• Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new services
• Communicating new service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
• Coordinating company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
• Customer communications including: telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to prospective customers.
• Researching sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
• Coordinating sales efforts with marketing, sales management, operations and technical service groups
• Analyzing and visiting the territory/market potential and determining the value of prospective customers
• Identifying opportunities with new prospects and compare NTS products/services
• Planning and organizing personal sales strategy by maximizing the “return-on-time” investment for the territory/segment
• Keeping abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with sales management and technical service areas
• Participating in trade shows and conventions

Accountabilities Include:
• Capture management
• Consistently providing excellent customer service to accounts
• Establishing and building relationships with customers to encourage new and repeat business opportunities
• Prospecting and expanding the opportunities with the customer by understanding the customer needs
• Supporting the Inside Sales Managers with existing accounts
• Meeting sales goals

Required Skills/Education/Experience:
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and be to pass a drug test and an extensive background check and DMV check
• Must be local but will consider someone who has sold in the local market as part of their territory or is looking to relocate back to CA
• Must have 5 years of outside sales experience, to include new account/customer development, selling in a technical/engineering environment to one or more of the following industries: Aerospace, Defense, Space, Testing
• CRM experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and interaction skills
• Must be a solid team player
• Must have technical knowledge and acumen in order to better understand NTS’ capabilities

Desired Skills/Education/Experience:

• Experience selling product testing services
• Bachelor’s degree
