Regional Sales Manager

NTS in Tempe, AZ is seeking and RSM who primarily will be responsible for generating new business within the Arizona region. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be the primary business contact with new customers within this region and serve as the customer advocate, the “voice of the customer”. The RSM will be located within the Tempe facility and will be responsible for generating testing opportunities within the Tempe Facility and related regions. The position will serve to ensure that all customer needs are met in order to effectively capture opportunities.



    • Inside and Outside Sales
    • Identify opportunities within customer accounts through outbound calls, communications, programs and other activities as needed
    • Generate new business by presenting and selling company products and services to potential customers
    • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific sales targets and to project contacts needed to reach goals
  • Prepare a variety of status reports including activity, closings, follow-up and goal achievement
  • Prepare presentations for customers
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions
  • Research and analyze prospective customer or market targets


  • Build trusted relationships with customers
  • Assist AE’s and GM in generating and delivering quotes in a timely manner.
  • Optimize capture management by effectively collaborating with local Site Operations, Application Engineering (AE) and other Regional Sales Directors (RSD) through NTS’ Site Engagement practices
  • Support weekly Capture Meetings with the goal of aligning Operations, AE’s and RSD’s to the sales needs of the Tempe facility, while identifying customers and opportunities (quotes) that support meeting and exceeding booking targets
  • Maximize bookings for both new and existing customers within an assigned book of accounts
  • Execute proactive selling techniques (dormant account pursuit)
  • Execute effective and timely follow up or introductory contact upon receipt of RFQs through closure and PO issuance
  • Develop and maintain accurate contacts and prospects database and Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports
  • Accurately qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and other departments to capture business and facilitate service execution
  • Engage in technical discussions with potential clients
  • Execute Sales Reporting: weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly
  • Participate in meetings, and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned activities
  • Service walk-in sales
  • Performs other duties as required


Required Skills/Education/Experience:


  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and able to pass a drug test and DMV and background check
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline with a minimum of 2 years of business-to-business inside/outside sales or account management experience in a technical environment OR we will consider a combination of education and 3 years of experience OR we will consider 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience managing a book of business, overcoming objections, customer service, fostering relationships, etc.
  • Previous outbound sales experience and success and proven ability to penetrate existing customer relationships a plus
  • Must have strong oral and written communications skills
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Must be computer literate (MS Office Suite) and have experience with a CRM
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and able to pass a drug test and DMV and extensive background check
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
  • Ability to grasp technical information
  • Ability to engage customer interest in an outbound call sales presentation
