Nuclear Program Manager

NTS in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Nuclear Third Party Qualification Department Manager, with strong Commercial Grade Item Dedication experience, management and financial acumen and the bandwidth to grow this business unit of the company.
• Function as the subject matter expert in commercial grade item dedication for the facility
• Part 21 Coordinator (Reporting to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission)
• Approving purchase authorizations/Managing a budget
• Compiling technical metrics information to be presented to leadership
• Developing and maintaining written test procedures related to dedication of products in accordance with applicable standards, compliance and guidelines
• Implementing department structure to increase efficiencies and customer satisfaction
• Interfacing directly with customers and ensuring their needs are met in quotations, project schedules, dedication plans, inspection/testing, dedication packages, and products
• Interfacing directly with various departments including, but not limited to, project management, sales, finance, quality, facilities, and security to communicate requirements and ensure conformance to customer requirements
• Overseeing all departmental personnel issues (presently 11 team members)
• Participating as a team member to accomplish departmental and corporate objectives
• Preparing/reviewing/approving quotations
• Resolving test equipment related issues and overseeing internal verification work related to test equipment and associated facilities
• Reviewing test data to ensure accuracy and conformance to requirements
• Reviewing/approving dedication plans, documentation packages, qualification plans, test procedures, and test reports
• Reviewing/approving electronic timesheets
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned

• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and able to pass a drug test and DMV and background check
• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related technical/science field
• 10 years of engineering experience with working knowledge of commercial grade item dedication
• 7+ years of management experience.
• Working knowledge of guidelines for commercial grade item dedication, especially EPRI 3002002982
• Working knowledge of Nuclear Equipment Qualification
• Working knowledge of nuclear industry codes and standards such as 10 CFR 21, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 50.49, ASME NQA-1, IEEE 323, and IEEE 344
• Strong leadership and business acumen is a must
• Ability to effectively train team members in both one-on-one and group settings on both technical and non-technical topics
• Ability to manage multiple projects (150+), direct technicians, organize and process large volumes of data, and create reports
• Ability to multi-task, follow processes, and manage details
• Ability to translate safety-related function requirements into dedication plans and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience implementing structure and processes to a group
• Expert-level ability to interpret dedication standards and implement requirements accordingly
• Knowledge of test equipment and test design to simulate nuclear plant service conditions and monitor product performance
• Must be a self-starter, well organized, and detail-oriented
• Operational and functional understanding of electrical, electromechanical, electronic, mechanical, and digital electronic equipment such as circuit breakers, controllers, and recorders
• Skill at monitoring tests for process compliance and reviewing data versus acceptance criteria
• Strong knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, especially Microsoft Dynamics AX (DAX)
