Mechanical Engineer (Recent Graduate)/Dynamics

NTS is seeking a recent BS/ME graduate for a Dynamics Test position, to work first shift but you will also be required to work second shift and weekends, as needed which could be 50% of the time. Ideally 2-5 years of experience operating electro-dynamic/hydraulic vibration systems/experience in dynamics/vibration testing) OR we will consider a recent graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with project or internship or work experience in testing or design or dynamics or the aerospace industry. The Dynamics Test Technician sets-up and performs vibration and shock tests. We strive to maintain excellent customer service and a quick turnaround of our customer testing needs. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Set-up and performance of Vibration & Shock tests
• Data collection utilizing vibration control systems, accelerometers, force sensors, thermocouples, strain gages, etc.
• Analysis and verification of test setups, test levels and requirements
• Cleanup and maintenance
• Troubleshooting and buildup of test fixtures, configurations and electrical set ups
• Data documentation, and report preparation

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship (present and future) and able to pass a drug test and DMV and background check
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and or 2nd shift, temporarily and or permanently, is required
• Ideally 2-5 years of experience operating electro-dynamic/hydraulic vibration systems/experience in dynamics/vibration testing OR we will consider a Mechanical Technician with a strong mechanical aptitude to train (welder, HVAC/refrigeration, avionics tech, automotive/mechanic) OR we will consider a recent graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with project or internship or work experience in testing or design or dynamics or the aerospace industry
• Working knowledge of basic Safety Practices
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required
• Ability to read and interpret requirements of various test specifications
• Excellent people skills, must be a strong team player and willing to adapt as necessary
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
