NTS has the ability to perform test automation in a variety of programming languages including C/C++, C#, .NET, Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, PHP, and a variety of other languages, and industry standard automation tools such as HP Quick Test Professional, IBM Rational Visual Test, IBM Rational Robot, HP Mercury WinRunner, HP Mercury LoadRunner, National Instruments' LabVIEW, RadView WebLoad, and Borland SilkTest.
NTS Test Engineers have performed a variety of programming projects using their skills, including automation of test cases for the IEEE-802.15.4 PHY layer for our work with the ZigBee Alliance. In addition, NTS has developed custom solutions to validate both the ZigBee Platform (NTS's ZigTest application) along with a hardware/software solution for ZigBee Smart Energy certification (NTS's ZigBee Smart Energy Test Harness aka NTS SETest) to verify ZigBee-based solutions to the necessary standards.
NTS SETest includes custom reference hardware with firmware written in the C language emulating ZigBee Smart Energy Device profiles and an application which facilitates execution of test cases for the certification suite for the ZigBee Smart Energy profile. NTS's Smart Energy Test Harness is a complete reference application emulating all types of devices. The harness automates and/or facilitates the majority of the execution of the complete certification suite for the ZigBee Smart Energy profile making it easy for NTS's customers to achieve certification. In addition, the test harness is also ZigBee Smart Energy certified itself.
To aid our customers in getting their ZigBee products to market quickly, NTS has also developed a custom test application entirely in C++, NTS ZigTest, which will automatically run through the required IEEE-802.15.14 MAC and ZigBee Certified Platform (ZCP) test requirements. The tool is extensible to allow for easy modification to match a particular ZigBee implementation (e.g., USB, serial, Ethernet connections, etc.).
In addition, NTS has used our automation capabilities to assist customers with a wide variety of projects, from the validation of a website for functionality and performance to a complete solution built using LabVIEW to automate a certification program. NTS has an entire group that focuses entirely on the design and integration of test, measurement, automation, data acquisition and control systems utilizing diverse hardware platforms, operating systems, and instrumentation standards.
