NTS Boxborough is a full service engineering and testing facility, capable of managing your most complex programs. With the addition of two new buildings and a 10-meter anechoic chamber, NTS Boxborough has tripled in size and capacity. 

Along with our NTS Acton facility, NTS Northeast is equipped with eight shielded chambers including a three-meter FCC listed chamber as well as a ten meter fully compliant chamber. Our experienced engineers and technicians have the expertise to accurately monitor equipment response and performance during the most severe test environments.

Environmental, Dynamics, and Hydraulic Testing

Our extensive climatic and environmental testing encompasses independent and combined thermal, humidity and altitude, salt fog, wind driven rain, fire and icing, as well as Thermal Vacuum and explosive atmosphere.

Our large scale dynamics laboratory houses electro-dynamic shaker systems, shock towers and seismic systems that performs independent triax, acceleration, shock, static and dynamic loading.

Custom test set-ups for hydraulic and FAA fire testing are also available.

Engineering Services

Here at NTS Boxborough, our engineers have extensive knowledge of current test and conformity requirements, both domestic and international. We can assist you with product assessment, define the proper requirements for design, outline the test program and provide quality verification to achieve maximum customer acceptance and cost savings.

EMC / EMI

• Radiated susceptibility; radiated and magnetic emissions; conducted immunity; harmonics analysis; electrical power characteristics; airborne and structure borne noise; AC power cross and power fault; lightning simulation indirect effects, and ESD up to 25kV.

• Immunity testing up to 200v/m from 10kHz to 40GHz and electrical power characteristics testing for ground, aircraft, shipboard and submarine.

NEBS and International Certifications

NTS certifies telecommunications products to NEBS as well as international standards. We provide complete certification of information technology, industrial and other commercial electronic products as well as global EMC and product safety regulatory standards.

NTS certifies equipment for Class 1E installation for mild or harsh environments to IEEE 323 and IEEE 344. Certified equipment systems, from manufacturers such as Bussman, Siemens, Yokogawa and GE include instrumentation, digital recorders, batteries, gauges, motors, panels and chillers.

Engineering Evaluations

NTS can also provide engineering evaluations to determine the best potential replacement from over 200 manufacturers of nuclear grade equipment. With a focus on solving plant needs, NTS leads the industry in digital upgrades, MCC bucket replacements, motor rewinds, governor rebuilds, modifications to or design of replacement safety-related systems, and instrumentation panel and component design. All programs are conducted in accordance with 10CFR50 App. B and 10CFR21.
