NTS Albuquerque is the center for NTS Engineering Services and provides the organization’s largest engineering services capability with mechanical, electrical, software, structural, and systems engineers as well as experienced program managers. NTS Albuquerque provides access to a wide variety of knowledgeable engineering and manufacturing resources with expertise in requirements analysis and definition, preliminary design, system architecture development, analysis, risk analysis and mitigation, detailed design, fabrication, integration, and functional prove-out with application to a wide variety of both government and commercial customers. Our engineering and technical experts create state of the art, efficient and reliable solutions for a number of applications, including sampling and analysis systems, remote sensor systems, radiation detection equipment, automated test equipment, and custom industrial automation systems.

In addition, NTS Albuquerque is one of the top ten largest employers of LabVIEW certified programmers in the United States and has been a National Instruments Select Partner since the inception of the program. We are dedicated to excellence in the delivery of data acquisition and control systems, and are a certified member of the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA). Our systems integrators are experts in the design and integration of motion control and robotic systems, vision inspection systems, industrial controls, data acquisition systems including analysis and reporting, and data logging, monitoring, recording and playback systems.

Albuquerque’s Systems Engineering Group accurately identifies, traces, and verifies project requirements across all Engineering Services programs. These requirements are used to drive execution excellence and to provide the framework for successful technical system integration activities. The Systems Engineering Group provides technical oversight for all Engineering Services programs, identifies and drives the necessary program design reviews, assesses component- and system-level reliability, and develops and implements a program risk-management plan. Additionally, our experienced program managers establish the framework to provide our customers with appropriate project oversight, resulting in on-time and on-budget performance.

NTS Albuquerque offers a full service precision machine shop and fabrication department. Our machinists have extensive experience working with a multitude of materials, including 5000, 6000, and 7000 series aluminum; austenitic, martensitic, ferritic, and precipitation hardened stainless steels; low, medium, and high carbon steel; high temperature “super-alloys”; copper, brass, ceramics, fiberglass, and a large variety of plastics. Our Fabrication Shop also has a wide range of fabrication and welding capabilities. We offer welding processes that include GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW. Each one of our welders is AWS certified to structural welding code D1.1. Additionally, our electrical and mechanical technicians provide system integration and assembly support, allowing the Albuquerque operation to provide complete life cycle design and support services.
